Well let's see It is my opinion That this cd is better than his previous records.
The production has improved the most you can tell they had more studio time on this one.
The singing is good Bart has a good voice the problem with this record is the song selection is pretty week.
It seems to me that there is alot of good band's in texas but when it comes to song writing there is very few artist who can be considered great.
Bart has wrote a couple good songs but at the end of the day this record is nothing special.Not a total wast of money if you are a Bart crow fan but if you haven't heard him yet you might wanna start somewhear else.

The band he's assembled is great, for the most part. The bass player Matt Slagle is exceptional, but I just can't get over how poor the songwriting and vocals are. Yuck! This is all hype. It's as if Texas has fallen into the trap of, "hey, if you're told its cool, it's cool." Some objectivety, please!!!!

Bart is a very precocious entertainer. His dream, ever since he was a young man, was to perform and entertain audiences. He perfected this at a young age, whether it be at a school activity or special event; he used his talents and personality to captivate the audience. His mind works like a tumultuous turbine, churning out one beautiful masterpiece song after another. His collectivism towards his band and the camaraderie he holds for the entire group. A loving son who worships his mother, a dedicated husband, and a profound nephew whom I cherish with all my heart. Good luck Bart, and God will place you at the top.

We recently met BCB at the After-Party of the Independent film "Desdemona: A Love Story"(an AFI Premier movie). BCB plays a band in a Texas honkey tonk - go figure! One of the most dynamic groups to hit the Texas stage in a number of years!! The boys' energy was contagious and kept EVERYONE in the place on their feet all night!! "Desperate Hearts" requires the volume be on high from start to finish!!

I know what you mean! I saw them play in Abilene a few weeks ago and they sucked! Josh Abbott Band opened and had the crowd pumped up but about 3 songs into Bart's set everyone left the dance floor! Nice guys but bad music

both albums are amazing... desperate hearts is my favorite one, it has more of a rock mentality and the sound quality is better for some reason. i love the new cut of driftin' in the wind. amazingly done. hell,i've been on stage with bart crow band in mckinney texas, their shows are definitely kick ass....
