 My LSM Page FAQ's

Quick Links:
About the LSM Communities.
Modules (and other stuff) we are working on.

Q. How do I add stuff to my page?
A. At the bottom of each column there is a link for "add content to this column". Just click on it to see your choices. Some things (Featured Artist for example) look a little different depending on which column you add them to.

Q. How do people find my page?
A. At the top of your page in the middle there is a something called "My link". Use this link to promote your page. You can add it just about anywhere you can post content on the web. People can also check out your page by clicking on your username any time you post a message in any of the community discussions.

Q. How do I move stuff around on my page?
A. Easy - to move a module up, just click on the up symbol . To move a module down, just click on the down symbol .

Q. What's the deal with the "Unique Views" and "Total Views" on the page where I add content?
A. Unique Views are the number of different people who have viewed your page on LoneStarMusic and Total Views are the total number of times your page on LoneStarMusic has been viewed. So if your mom checked out your page twice and Sammy Stalker viewed it 35 times, you'd have 2 Unique Views and 37 Total Views.

Q. We heard that in the future LoneStarMusic would be awarding LSM Reward Points based on a members Unique Views.
A. The future is now, my friend. LSM Members earn 2 LSM Rewards Points for every 100 Unique Views. So be sure to get your mom, best friend, uncle Billy, and your cat to check out your page on LoneStarMusic.

Q. Same thing on entering tour dates. What kind of LSM Rewards Points can I earn for that?
A. You'll earn 1 LSM Rewards Point for every 35 tour dates entered. As long as they are legit. Entering the same Jack Ingram New Years Eve show 35 times does not count. And is slightly annoying, but we'll still love you all the same.

Q. If I make a lot of changes to a module and then "close it", but decide a week later I want it again, will all of those changes still be there?
A. No worries, all content is saved even when you close a module. Just add it back to the column and all of your pain-staking work will reappear. For example, if you create a Six Pack, but then close it. One week later if you add it back to your page all of your CDs will still be there.

Q. I was in the middle of adding and moving a lot of stuff when I suddenly got a message that I had to be logged in to do that. What happened?
A. It sounds like your session timed out. 20 minutes of no activity will do that. In order to avoid that we highly recommend clicking the box that says "keep me logged in on this computer" when you first login.

Q. Why did Willie Nelson have Kenny Chesney produce his record? Isn't that like a kindergartner delivering a thesis to the staff at Harvard.
A. {Sigh} The best argument for building a time machine.

Q. Is there a list anywhere of modules you're working on? I'm fairly brilliant, can I offer a suggestion?
A. Yes and absolutely. You can take a look at what we're working on right now and then send us a suggestion (you need to be logged in to suggest a module). Check it out here.

Q. I don't like my nickname. How do I change it?
A. It's not a forever thing like a lot of sites. But it's not easy either. If you have links to it anywhere, they will no longer work. And other miscellaneous annoyances. But if you find it really objectionable send us some feedback. You could "trick" the system by getting an email address somewhere with the part before the "@" being the nickname you want and then signing up for a new account with that email address and hoping no one else already has that nickname. But jeez that's a lot of trouble, dontcha think?

Q. I am on fire and I need to pee. Any suggestions?
A. Let 'er rip!

Q. This is all so wonderful and has brought me joy without limits. How can we support your efforts?
A. Get two birds with one stone by buying music, tees, and more from the artists you find here on LoneStarMusic.
