Track 1 Prelude "Places In Between" is a musical journey. The opening track was written to make listeners feel like they were at the movies.
Track 2 Good Time Van Life is all about choices. Sometimes we make the right ones and sometimes we have regrets.
Track 3 It's A Given I wrote the lyrics about a past love and Lloyd had the chords and the groove. This song came together as our first writing collaboration.
Track 4 Places In Between I "modeled" Betty after one of my previous landlord's many girlfriends. Being in a state of limbo can be long term.
Track 5 Wish Sometimes fate laughs at your dreams. I wrote this song as if the wishing well were a person taunting the dreamer.
Track 6 Eagles We all have to leave the nest at one time or another. This song is about letting go.
Track 7 Joy Or Sorrow Intro I've always wanted to write a traditional Irish folk song. The intro is the chorus of the song. The intro is Gaelic. The Gaelic translate to "courage embracing you, faith embracing you."
Track 8 Joy Or Sorrow The idea came from a conversation I had about fear. I believe fear is like a weed in the garden of dreams.
Track 9 My Own Place I had to stuggle to get financing to buy my home. Being a self-employed musician was a real nghtmare at the bank. This song confronts the game.
Track 10 Throw My Love The title says it all. There have been times I have thrown my love against the wall. I've done this in my career and my relationships.
Track 11 Invisible Girl Being considered. Seen as "real." Bein a "vital part of." These were the ideas I used in the song.
Track 12 Motherless Children This is a well-known traditional folk song. We were inspired by the Carter family version but we add our own twist to the song.
Track 13 Reprise The cinematic journey comes to a close.
Track 14 Moon On The Water Written at Canyon Lake, Texas when the moon rose over the Guadalupe River. I wrote this song about rising above negative situations.
